For those in the high risk community who have had many family members across many generations suffer from breast and ovarian cancer we can relate to her journey and her decision.
Angelina wrote a beautiful letter for the New York Times sharing the loss of her Mother to ovarian cancer and her decision to undertake genetic testing and consequent action as a result of her BRCA1 status. She articulated that making the decision to have preventative surgery was not easy but it was the right one for her and her family.
At Pink Hope we offer information and support to those at high risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Anyone wanting further information or access resources and a support network please go to www.pinkhope.org.au.
