22 Mar 2017 by Krystal Barter

Pink Hope’s Glimmer of Hope program aims to support the women and families within our at-risk community at a time when they are going through surgery, treatment or caring for a family member.

This Glimmer of Hope was made possible with the support of Eat Fit Food. To learn more about Eat Fit Food see their website, www.eatfitfood.com.au.

Nicole’s Story

Nicole

Nicole is 32 and was diagnosed with high grade stage 2 ovarian cancer after surgery to remove a large ovarian cyst in August 2016. A month later she commenced the first of six rounds of chemotherapy which she completed early 2017. She is scheduled to have a hysterectomy in February 2017. She undertook genetic counselling and testing at her treating hospital shortly after commencing chemo and was found to carry a BRCA1 gene mutation.

Nicole’s Glimmer of Hope
With the support of Eat Fit Food and Pink Hope Nicole can focus on her surgery and recovery. Knowing she is having fresh and healthy food delivered will assist her in nurturing her body and resting.

A Message from Nicole
“Thank you so much for your support of meals during this challenging time, it will make my journey of recovery after surgery that much easier.”
