Helen & Robyn – Know Your Risk

Posted in News 01 Feb 2017

Helen and Robyn carry the BRCA2 gene mutation, meaning over their lifetime they have up to a 65% chance of developing breast cancer and a 45% chance of developing ovarian cancer.  Unfortunately Helen was diagnosed with ovarian cancer before she knew her risk. She is taking the drug Lynparza which is keeping her ovarian cancer under control … today it was announced this drug will be available on the Pharmaceutical Benefitis Scheme (PBS). Incredible news for families like Helen’s.

They are just two of the inspiring community faces and stories you will meet this February in Pink Hope’s “Know Your Risk” campaign.

As Helen and Robyn say

“Don’t wait till it’s too late, know your risk and be in control”.
