Jen’s Member of the Month
Pink Hope is so proud to recognise Jen as member of the month. Jen has shared her story and held fundraisers for Pink Hope to raise awareness of hereditary cancer and funds for the charity. With the support of Emma & Roe Pink Hope is able to thank and spoil Jen with a beautiful bracelet and Pink Hope charm.

Jen’s Story
Jen’s Mother was diagnosed with breast cancer at 50 years old but it was Jen’s sister who researched their family health history to find that their jewish paternal Grandmother had been diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancer. While Jen’s Dad was waiting for genetic testing Jen was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. Her genetic testing was prioritised and she was found to carry the BRCA1 gene mutation. Based on this information she received chemotherapy that is more effective for BRCA carriers. Jen went on to have further risk reducing surgeries and recently passed her five year anniversary of her cancer diagnosis.

A Message from Jen
“It’s an honour to be selected to be Pink Hope member of the month! I did not expect that. The work that Pink Hope does is so important. The support of corporate sponsor Emma and Roe makes this possible, so a big thank you to Emma and Roe. Knowing your family history saves lives. Simple as that. Let’s keep spreading the word.”
