‘A Little Cup of Hope’ Afternoon Tea is set to make a big difference for women at an increased risk of breast and ovarian cancer.
The Langham, Sydney has launched this beautiful event running from 14th of February to 9th of April, 2020 in support of the work of our charity, Pink Hope.
With every beautifully crafted pink-themed afternoon tea served, $5 will be donated towards the work of our leading preventative health hub, providing information, education and support to families at an increased risk of breast and ovarian cancer.
“Our relationship with Pink Hope has been ongoing for many years now,” explains Lachlan Harris, Director of Sales & Marketing, The Langham, Sydney,
“Their work, providing invaluable support, resources and tools to at-risk families gives hope to so many when they feel as though they have no-where else to go.”
Building upon the success of last year’s Langham, Sydney and Pink Hope Suite activation, the Little Cup of Hope afternoon tea provides a magical experience for guests to enjoy handcrafted sweets by pastry chef Prashanth Krishnan. Each dessert item has been created with a touch of pink, from champagne and ruby chocolate truffles through to strawberry yoghurt macarons.
With more savoury delights to enjoy than ever before, the Little Cup of Hope afternoon tea boasts beef and burgundy pie pastries, truffled egg finger sandwiches and seafood to leave you salivating for more. Designed by The Langham, Sydney’s new executive chef, Stephen Lech, each item has been tasted, tweaked and perfected to ensure every mouthful has guests wanting more (and more, and more!).
With every afternoon tea served, each guest will receive their own message of hope written personally by a woman or family within the incredible Pink Hope community. Each message reflects the individual’s experience but also their gratitude to the attendees of the Little Cup of Hope high tea.
“Our ongoing partnership with The Langham provides much needed funding to our organisation to be able to continue our life-saving mission of ensuring every Australian is educated to know and manage their risk,” explains founder of Pink Hope, Krystal Barter,
“The Little Cup of Hope Afternoon Tea activation provides a unique experience for guests of The Langham to enjoy the luxurious experience it has to offer, whilst knowing that they are contributing towards a community of women who, without Pink Hope, would often have nowhere else to turn on their journey.”
In addition to the amazing afternoon tea spread, The Langham, Sydney Mixologist has also developed a bespoke pink-themed cocktail to match beautifully with the range of sweets and savoury delights.
The Little Cup of Hope Afternoon Tea will run from 14th February until 9th April 2020.
