As a patient-centric organisation, putting the needs and health of our community has, and will always continue to be at the forefront of our organisation.
Given the news of the pandemic status of COVID-19, and given the risk to those affected by cancer and compromised immunity, Pink Hope is reviewing all in-person events and programs to mitigate any risk to our community and staff. While these decisions will cost our organisation time, energy and money, nothing is more important than our community and their health. Further updates regarding these events will be provided in the coming days.
We will otherwise continue to operate as normal, providing support, education and resources to our community of families at an increased risk of breast and ovarian cancer. We encourage anyone within our community who is undergoing treatment, or recently completed treatment to speak to their healthcare team about a management plan. For anyone in our community who is displaying flu-like symptoms, we ask that you call your local GP and follow the advice of the Australian Government.
